Christ Stopped at Eboli

Cristo si è fermato a Eboli Based on Carlo Levi's novel, an intellectual from Turin, antifascist doctor, is exiled to a region near Eboli. Over time, he learns to appreciate the beauty and wisdom of the peasants, and to overcome his isolation. It won the BAFTA award for the Best Foreign Language Film, the David di Donatello for the Best Film and Best Director, the Silver Ribbon for the Best Supporting Actress.
