Three children force a schoolmate to a brave trial to enter the group: unexpectedly he is swallwed by a chasm opened on the ground. They can find their mate but they realize they can't come back. After many vicissitudes they will be helped by Grotto, a funny creature living in the caverns and that speak only through guttural sounds.
