2012. Year of the Monti technical government. Francesca, 60, suddenly finds herself in an exodus condition, and therefore without any income. Even with Mary, the niece who lives with her, the situation precipitates, precisely because of the contempt that the teenager feels for the misery in which they have fallen. Not finding any solution, after knocking on numerous doors Francesca ends up begging in Piazza della Repubblica in Rome.
