We are in Naples, where at Parascandolo home preparations are underway for the magnificent eighteen-year celebration of Mirea. The general agitation involves the ingenious head of the family Gennaro (Salemme), surveyor and small construction contractor, and the ravenous wife Teresa (Tosca D'Aquino), animated by the fierce ambition of social ascent. Seeing in the party the great opportunity to emerge, Teresa decided to do things big and paid no attention to expenses, from catering to furnishings.
