Rome

The Eternal City has been chosen by directors from all over the wolrd all along to set their movie works. The bond between Rome and the Cinema began around the '40s, when the Italian capital became one of the most desired locations for films. After the war there was a solid growth of Cinecittà's studios and thanks to this fact Rome became the center of the Italian and International Cinema. Rome has seduced actors and directors, the historic places and the popular atmosphere made,and continue to make every day, the city the perfect frame for cinema's masterpieces. The scenes of the capital in William Wyler's "Vacanze Romane" are still printed in everybody's eyes.
