In March, the extra reason to stay in Carpi

The reason is the first feature by Riccardo Romito and Davide Benetti, two twenty-year-old correggesi, respectively director and executive producer of the film.

Active teaching possible

The film aims to promote the validity of active teaching, not only in terms of content, but also at the operational level.

For this reason, many young people who have been involved in the project have learned the trade in the field.

It is thanks to this project that in other professional paths they continued as sound technicians, set designers, assistants and actors.

The film was screened for the first time on November 1, 2017 in Reggio Emilia

As for the national distribution, however, will start from January 2018.

A film shot by volunteers

"The extra reason" is inspired by the story of the young Davide Benetti.

The extraordinary thing about this film is that, three hundred people participated for free.

The feature film will be screened at Eden on March 6th.

The film lasts for an hour and forty and is filmed between Carpi and Correggio.

The shooting, in Carpi, was set at Meucci and in the company of the entrepreneur Daniela Dallavalle.

At Meucci, a classroom and a corridor were borrowed, in agreement with the principal.

The music of the film is: Martina Montruccoli, Matteo Davoli, Giovanni Caffagni, Marco Ligabue.

It will be possible to watch the screening of the film during several events: the film will be shown at Cinepiù di Correggio on March 5th; the following day at the Eden cinema in Carpi; the 7th at the oratory of Campagnola.

Synopsis

Vittorio is an 18-year-old boy in constant struggle against the ghosts of the past.

He was rejected four times in high school and has experienced serious problems in the school world.

Vittorio is the protagonist of the film, based on a story actually lived by Davide Benetti, producer and creator of the film together with Riccardo Romito.

Davide, aka Vittorio, reaches the turning point when he meets the math teacher Davide Rossi, who proposes to test himself through the PBL (Project Based Learning).

That is an alternative teaching method to the traditional school. Vittorio sees endless possibilities unfolding before him and the road seems to be going downhill.
