The story of Ninna Nanna tells a current theme: "What happens to women often after a pregnancy, both at a psychological and physical level? Why sometimes does the child become a threat to their own happiness? She tells it Anita (Inaudi), a young talented enologist, beloved and in love with her husband Salvo (Ferracane). Anita is expecting a newborn baby girl whom is looking forward to knowing and singing her the  ninna nanna that the nun specially prepared for her. After giving birth, though, she thinks she has gone through the worst and is ready for her new role as a mother, but in fact the presence of the baby cracks her serene and balanced life and becomes a "threat" to her happiness and for her relationship with Salvo. This situation will bring Anita back on the ghosts of the past and have to deal with herself.

Location

The film was shot in Sicily in the province of Trapani in Gibellina, Castelvetrano Hospital, Selinunte Archaeological Park and the Tre Fontane Coast, hamlet of Campobello di Mazara.
