RETROSPECTIVES

The first "American Politics" falls a few weeks before the US presidential election and presents a survey of fifteen films that helped spread the ideals and models of US policy.

The second is dedicated to Valerio Zurlini, one of the great Italian directors. It's a very exhaustive retrospective because, in addition to feature films, presents a selection of short documentaries of Zurlini of the 50s.

The third is dedicated to Tom Hanks, one of the greatest actors of contemporary cinema. Just this week was presented in Florence the last film in which he stars, "Inferno." In the retrospective are inserted sixteen films, including two directed by the same Hanks.

But the list of activities does not end here. Numerous other events there will be.

We indicate a few of them in no particular order.

Some with a strong cultural impact, but also social (Cinema Without Borders; The film arrives in the family home of Villa Glori, The Film Festival in Rebibbia; The complaint against pedophilia, etc.).

Reflections section, with a number of interesting screenings: "The strongest weapon - The man who invented Cinecittà" by Vanni Gandolfo; "Leave the saints" by Gianfranco Pannone with music by Ambrogio Sparagna; "The Roman - stories of women and of neighborhoods" by Giovanna Gagliardo etc.

The overall program can be found at the festival site.
