Italian TV series made of 2 seasons of 26 episodes, aired from 2003 to 2005. It tells the story of Elisa, a girl of humble origins, and her love affair with Count Fabrizio Ristori. Their story intertwines with those of the other characters, including the nobles, servants and ordinary people of the village of Rivombrosa. The series was a huge success with the public, and was transmitted abroad in various countries such as France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Albania, Spain, Canada and many others. Were also published two novels that summarize the events of the first and second season and, in 2007, was also produced a spinoff titled La figlia di Elisa – Ritorno a Rivombrosa. The series has also received numerous awards such as the Telegatto for "Broadcasting of the year" and "Program of the year" in 2004 while the actress Vittoria Puccini won the Telegrolla and the Golden Grolla for her performance as Elisa.
