Gran bollito Lea, a mature Neapolitan woman, has a morbid love for Michele, the only one of her 13 children to have survived through the years. When Michele gets engaged to a young teacher, in order to not to lose him, Lea makes a deal with the death and sacrifices three of her spinster friends.
