The movie won the David di Donatello for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Production, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Music, Best Costume Design and Best Editing. Moreover it won the italian's Golden Globe for Best Movie and the Silver Ribbon for Best Cinematography and Best Production Design.
