Both sequel and prequel to the hit film "The Godfather". In this new film are told in parallel the stories of the young Vito Corleone who, arrived in New York in the twenties, began to lay the foundation of his criminal empire and the story of his son Michael who has moved to Nevada and has to deal with the capitalist jew Hyman Roth. The film won the oscar for Best Film, Best Director to Francis Ford Coppola, Best Supporting Actor to Robert De Niro, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Art Direction and Best Original Score. Al Pacino also won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor.
