A young female cook who works in a noblewoman's house falls in love with a successful but in crisis writer. When the couple pass through a difficoult crisis, the woman is forced to come back to work as a cook: in the meantime, she has literary wishes and notes on a shopping notebook above suspicions a novel that she hides to not frustrate the husband. But her secret will not last long and a tragic end will close the sequence.
