At Rome an african woman supports herself as a waitress of an english pianist. To buy his husband's liberation, in jail for political reasons, the pianist sells all his antique things. Conquered by his dedication, the young woman reciprocates. It won the Italian Golden Globe as the Best Film and Best Score.
