From Machievelli's comedy, the protagonist poses as a doctor because of a woman's love. He persuades his husband that he will have a child if he will drink the madrake, but that he will die if he lie with her, and that it's necessary to find a poor devil (the protagonist disguised) who lends himself to it. It won the Golden Plate at David di Donatello for the Female Performance.
