Vincenzo, responsible for the maintenance of a steel plant now in closing, is in charge of the sale of a blast furnace for a Chinese company. When the man realizes that the machine is broken, travels from Italy to China with spare parts. Here, however, the Chinese firm refuses to tell him where is the machinery. The man then, accompanied by an interpreter, begins a long journey trough China and its various realities. Sergio Castellitto won Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
