A judge is worried about his older sister, who took care of him since he was a boy, and is now affected by psychic problems and suicide fantasies. She seems to recover from her depression when he acquaints her with a brilliant actor at the edge of legality who becomes unconsciously jealous of this relationship, and try to get him arrested. It won the prize to the Best Actor and Actress at Cannes Festival; the David di Donatello as the Best Director.
