Alessandro (Andrea Carpenzano) is an ignorant and turbulent twenty-two year old Trastevere; Giorgio (Giuliano Montaldo) an eighty-five-year-old forgotten poet. The two live at a distance from each other, but they have never met, until Alessandro accepts a job as a companion of that elegant gentleman in afternoon walks.
