Among the directors and screenwriters Lucca's favourite locations there are the Walls, Villa Bottini, the Moats, San Giovanni Square, the Cathedral, the former mental institution of Maggiano, Pfanner Building, or the local mountains converted into an old west village. Here was shot one of the most awarded movies in the history, "Il paziente inglese" by Anthony Minghella.
