Antonio's syndrome: looking for Plato between Puglia and Greece

Plot
Antonio Soris (Biagio Iacovelli) is a sessantottino convinced, he likes Che Guevara and Plato.
It has an underlying belief: to really understand the ideas you have to go to the places where they are been produced.
In September of 1970, with little money in his pocket, from Rome goes to Athens.
He is looking for the cave and the places that have inspired Plato.
He arrives in Greece and there he meets the beautiful and lovely Maria (Queralt Badalamenti). Antonio, who was kidnapped by the beauty of the girl and the charm of the place, leaves himself to the suggestion of a trip almost out of reality.
The two boys build a relationship made of joy and feelings, of shared thoughts about life, of love and politics.
Antonio's journey is marked by a series of meetings. With Efisio (Moni Ovadia). With Vassilis (Antonio Catania), the owner of the inn where houses Antonio. With Lissa (Chiara Gensini), a mad woman who poses riddles about the meaning of life. With Klingsor (Giorgio Albertazzi), the painter who has chosen not to speak, who hopes for the return of his companion missing for years and paints the sea overlooking front of his house.
The voiceover of Gino (Remo Girone), who appears at the beginning and end of the film, marks the journey, allows you to discover unexpected aspects and meanings beyond what appears.
In the background of the trip, the dream of the revolution, the liberation of morals and Greece of the colonels.

Antonio's syndrome was shot in Rome, in Apulia and some scenes were filmed in Athens.
In particular in Apulia are been interested the territories of three municipalities in the metropolitan city of Bari: Giovinazzo, Monopoli and Cassano delle Murge.
