Cinecittà turns 80 and celebrates with an exhibition the magic of Italian cinema.
There is a Sophia Loren, very young, posing for the paparazzi on the hood of a car. A Federico Fellini drying Anita Ekberg's feet, after bathing in the Trevi Fountain for La Dolce Vita. Benito Mussolini, who in January 1936 laid the foundation stone of future studios.
Exhibition "Cinecittà - Facts and characters between the cinema and the news", until May 7 at the Theater 1 of the historic establishments on Tuscolana ". In the exhibition there is Italy that discovers the sound and lives the economic boom led by Mike Bongiorno.
Then to know the dark years of terrorism and the Moro kidnapping, the denunciations of Pasolini ... ... the adventure of the moon landing and the tragedy of the first bargains of migrants. And yet the Capaci massacre that shakes the country and the Oscars to Roberto Benigni, until the arrival of the TV and Big Brother, right there in the absolute temple of Italian cinema. The exhibition was realized with the Ansa agency.
It is a story in more than 150 images and films from the Archives of the Istituto Luce and the Ansa. Images that retrace 80 years of Italian history intertwining stars and masterpieces with daily life, dreams and major news events.
