In Civita di Bagnoregio shooting of Lazzaro Felice, the new film by Alice Rohrwacher

The shooting of Lazzaro Felice started yesterday, near Civita di Bagnoregio, in the province of Viterbo.

This is the third film by Alice Rohrwacher, the young director who has already been able to carve out a significant space for herself in the new Italian cinema.

The first is Corpo celeste (2011), presented at the Quinzaine des réalisateurs of the Cannes Festival, which was awarded the Silver Ribbon Award for Best beginner  Director.

The second is The Wonders (2014) with which she won the Special Jury Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival.

You know little about the story of the film, written by the director herself: it's a story divided between summer and winter, between countryside and city.

In the cast Sergi Lopez, Alba Rohrwacher, Nicoletta Braschi, Adriano Tardioli, Luca Chikovani, Tommaso Ragno, Natalino Balasso, Leonardo Nigro, Gala Othero Winter and many non-professionals.

The photograph is by Hélène Louvart, well-known for her works with Wim Wenders and Claire Denis.

The film is a co-production Italy / France / Switzerland / Germany.

The release of the film is scheduled for 2018.
