In Erice will be shot Aquaman, the movie by James Wan

In Erice (TP), the beautiful village located in the province of Trapani, a new great appointment with the cinema.

In these days is in theaters the film In war for the love by PIF, for which the middle of the action was the town of Erice (TP).

For a month the medieval village was turned into a movie set. The whole country was involved. Many people of Erice and Trapani participated in the filming of the movie with small parts or simply as extras.

Now, a few days ago, it was made official the news that in Erice will be shot some scenes of the movie Aquaman.

In fact, in recent days the City Council authorized the EOS Productions, in collaboration with Warner Bros, for the conduct of the shooting.

The EOS Productions has already served as executive producer of important world-class films shot in Italy.

Filming in Erice are scheduled for September 2017. It will affect the Venus Castle and the historical center of the village. Much of the film will instead be shot in studios in Australia.

It's really great news and confirms increasing Italy's vocation as a location for major international film productions.

Aquaman

The film promises to be a great success and the rest of the ingredients are all there.

By director James Wan, the Malaysian director, screenwriter and film producer naturalized Australian.

His name is linked to great successes, from the saga of horror films Saw to Fast & Furious 7, the 6th highest grossing film in movie history.

The protagonist is Jason Momoa, who played the characters of great success: from Ronon Dex in the series Stargate Atlantis, to Khal Drogo in The Iron Throne to Conan the Barbarian in the homonymous movie.

Here he will play Aquaman, the King of Atlantis submarine nation. This role has already been played by Jason Momoa in the DC Extended Universe. He made his debut in a cameo in the film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and continues with Justice League (2017) Aquaman (2018) and Justice League 2 (2019).

The film's release is scheduled for October 5, 2018.
