Synopsis

At Parascandolo home preparations are under way for a magnificent party on the beautiful terrace.

House in which the head of the family, the ingenuous Gennaro, surveyor and small building contractor, lives with Teresa, a hungry wife with a fierce ambition to climb higher and higher on the social ladder.

For the eighteenth birthday of daughter Mirea, Teresa decided to do things big and paid no expense.

From catering to furniture, he even signed up an Indian waiter, relegating the old maid to the kitchen that was not considered exotic enough for such an important party!

Gennaro, just to please the women of his life and with the help of Lello, the invading helper of the goalkeeper, continues to indulge their every whim and spend a fortune for a party that he calls "exaggerated".

Everything seems perfect, the guests begin to arrive, but unexpected news comes from downstairs, from the house Scamardella, where they live a very old father and spinster daughter.
