Pescasseroli remembers Ettore Scola on the anniversary of death

A year ago died Ettore Scola, one of the greatest directors of Italian cinema. Unforgettable some of his many films. 

Pescasseroli was the place of the heart of Ettore Scola.

The "mountains" have often been used as a set of his movies but here especially Scola loved to escape with family, friends and business associates.

Near his house there was that of Agenore Incrocci, said Age. Here were written films that have made the history of Italian cinema.

For the first anniversary of his death, his family and a group of friendly people and local associations and institutions, have decided to remember him and celebrate the works with a day of events dedicated to him.

The Municipality of Pescasseroli, the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise and local associations have made sponsoring the event. A celebration as you imagine he wanted Scola.

On next January 19, at 5 p.m. a country band will travel the roads from the town hall to the movie theater. Will play music by Armando Trovajoli that have been the soundtrack to all of his films.

At the country's cinemas will then unveiled the stone plaque that will seal the first movie theater entitled to Ettore Scola.

Among other Gigliola and Silvia Scola, Walter Veltroni, Dacia Maraini, Simona Marchini, Paola Cortellesi, Riccardo Milani, Paul Gambescia and Piera Detassis.

They remember the life, works and his special bond with Pescasseroli.

Will screen the film clips shot by Scola in these places. It will be screened the documentary "Laughing and Joking" made on him by his daughters Paola and  Silvia Scola with friendly participation of PIF.
