Youtopia, the new film distributed by Koch Media, will be released in cinemas on April 25, 2018.

Cast and shooting

The direction is by Berardo Carboni and the protagonists are: Matilda De Angelis, Donatella Finocchiaro, Alessandro Haber, Paolo Sassanelli, Luca Lionello and with the voice of Antoine Olivier Pilon.

Filming took place between Rome and the surroundings of Pescara.

They have been carried out since May 16th 2016 for 5 weeks, 4½ of which in Rome and the rest in Pescara.

Synopsis

Seven billion people, every day, want what they do not have.

Ernesto (Alessandro Haber), a 60-year-old pharmacist, married to a son, is convinced that happiness is measured by possession.

And although he already has a lot, he is dissatisfied. Continuous search for escape Ernesto alternates the routine of family life with squalid night meetings.

Laura (Donatella Finocchiaro) is a 44-year-old woman who aspires to the ideal of glossy life as told on TV: shiny and serene.

Instead, he finds himself without a job, with a mortgage that is struggling to pay and an 18-year-old daughter, Matilde (Matilda De Angelis), to be kept.

Matilde, to escape from a reality that does not allow her to have what she wants, takes refuge in the web. Here he discovers a world apart and a shortcut for easy money: use his body and undress in front of the webcam.

The girl learns about her mother's multiple financial difficulties and offers to help her by telling her how she put the money aside.

Their relationship is so upset forever, also because the strippers are not enough to cover the debts and the loss of the house is an increasingly concrete possibility for Laura and Matilde.

So the girl decides, with the consoled and desperate consent of her mother, to hold an online auction to sell her virginity.

Ernesto, in his constant search for strong emotions and new "things" to own, manages to win it. Matilde for him represents extreme transgression, but also the idea of being able to buy purity.

The consequences are inevitable: the worlds of Ernesto, Matilde and Laura will cross inextricably.
