The set of a fantasy saga in Arquà Petrarca

A fantasy saga, in Italy, we are in Arquà Petrarca. Curiosity in the Borgo del Poeta for the filming of "A discovery of witches".

The famous HBO / Sky TV series inspired by the fantasy saga of Deborah Harkness, known in Italy as "Trilogy of souls".

Yesterday and the day before yesterday Piazza San Marco has been transformed into a French village (the shop signs have also been replaced) to shoot some scenes that involved the passage of a Tesla car.

With the two protagonists on board, the Australian Theresa Palmer (in the role of the protagonist Diana Bishop, scholar and witch) and the British Mathew Goode (in the role of professor-vampire Mattehew Clairmont).

Another highlight of the series, on which for obvious reasons the utmost secrecy applies, was instead realized in the Santissima Trinità oratory.

A hundred people have been involved in the work of the troupe, to which are added about sixty extras.

Today the set moved to Monselice, to the Castle and to Via del Santuario (yesterday in reality some aerial shots were taken from Mount Ricco).

Castellomonselice

360 Degrees Film, a company specialized in following foreign productions in Italy, carries out the operations. This is the first season of the series, which includes a total of eight episodes edited by three different directors.

The initial part was shot in Venice, then the choice fell on the city of Rocca and on the Borgo del Poeta, a choice that was also approved by Bad Wolf, the manufacturer of the series based in the United Kingdom.

Shooting will continue for eleven or twelve hours a day until Sunday, when the set is taken down. In the area there will be personnel of civil protection and of the carabinieri on leave.
