The truth is in heaven: the film by Roberto Faenza on the disappearance of Emanuela Orlandi

Was 22 June 1983. The fifteen Emanuela Orlandi, Vatican City citizen, daughter of a clerk of the Prefecture of the Papal Household, disappears under mysterious circumstances.

An escape? A kidnapping?

It's been over 33 years since that day, but on that story hasn't never been done definitely light.

Indeed, the episode quickly became one of the darkest cases of the Italian and Vatican history story.

At the center of the various investigations and investigative hypotheses have been from time to time large or dark powers.

From the Vatican to the IOR, to the Magliana Gang, the Banco Ambrosiano, the secret services of different countries.

But a conclusion has never arrived.

Yet that episode, many years later, continues to arouse passions, controversies.

Periodically, driven by various impulses, the spotlight is on again on the matter.

The last chance is offered by Roberto Faenza film The truth is in heaven, from Thursday, October 6 released in the cinemas.

A film that is generating hard and sometimes bitter discussions and divisions.

The truth of the rest is that the film is a militant film.

To say it is the director Roberto Faenza, who repeatedly with his films has handled obscure pages and events of our country.

In an interview with La7 states "while in most of the movies we always use the little formula - facts and purely random characters - there's nothing random here; the film is based on solid sources ...... we have the courage to name names and surnames".

Or "I think this film gives an assist to those wishing to pursue further investigations. To do that last meter .... Missing only a meter to pull out what we really know, because we know around Emanuela "

The film is not only the story of Emanuela Orlandi. But, as of Emanuela Orlandi, it is the tale of an ugly world where cross corruption, immorality, and cynical misuse of power.

On the film there have been heated debates.

In particular Famiglia Cristiana with a long article published on the website of weekly newspaper.

"Faenza prefers to focus on the texture of the investigation and chooses the preconceived thesis. Of the dozens of trails chased by investigators in more than 30 years of investigation, all ended in a stalemate, the director chooses those that end up directly into the Vatican. The most improbable, but also the most suitable to build an essentially ideological plot, fiercely anticlerical ".

Controversy that confirm all the dramatic topicality of the story. The hope is that really help to walk the last meters mentioned by the director. To make that the truth which is in heaven may also come down to earth.

The film is produced by Jean Vigo Italy in collaboration with Rai Cinema and distributed by 01 Distribution.

Among the main actors Riccardo Scamarcio (Enrico De Pedis said Renatino), Maya Sansa (Maria), Greta Scarano (Sabrina Minardi), Valentina Lodovini (Raffaella Notariale).
