Al primo posto Mulholland Drive (2001) del grande David Lynch.
Con lui sul podio In the Mood for Love (2000) del regista cinese Wong Kar-wai e al terzo posto Il petroliere (2007) del regista americano Paul Thomas Anderson.
E l'Italia? Nella classifica dei film più belli è francamente sottovalutata: un solo film, al 64° posto, La grande bellezza, lo splendido film di Paolo Sorrentino premiato con l'Oscar.
