Cortisonici, the Festival is an international film festival that every year proposes a competition of short films. And, a series of parallel events such as: concerts, meetings with authors and workshops ... that take place in various locations in the city of Varese.

Now in its 15th edition, the event has seen over the years the participation of filmmakers from all over Italy.

To which were added names from Spain, France, Germany, United States, Korea, Argentina and Russia.

Like every edition, also for the 2018 edition, which will take place between 3 and 7 April, an official trailer has been created with the task of officially launching the event.

Two young directors from Ticino, Riccardo Bernasconi and Francesca Reverdito, founders of "Studio Asparagus", turned it around. Affectionate frequenters of the Varese competition, which among other things has seen in various editions their works in competition. The protagonist is an emerging Milanese actress, Valentina Violo. In the character of "Miss Adamantina" who, flanked by actors Omar Stellacci and Toni Pandolfo, will explain how an action film is filmed. A part of the shooting is set inside the Spazio Kabum of Varese. The remaining part in an abandoned industrial area in the Valle Olona area.

Edition 2018, fighting cinema

A video that in fact anticipates the theme of the Focus 2018: "the fighting cinema". For an edition that, between studs, chains, bars and firearms, promises to be harder than ever. If the deadline for sending the shorts for the official selection has been closed for a few days, there is still time until the end of January to take part in the Cortisonici Ragazzi section, this year focusing on the issues of legality.

Edition 2018, organization and production

The Festival is organized by "Cortisonici Association of Social Promotion". It is part of an international network that includes festivals, film schools and associations with offices in Portugal, Hungary, Ireland, Belgium, Argentina, Iran and South Korea.
