Detenuto in attesa di giudizio Giuseppe Di Noi is an Italian living abroad who decided to return to Italy with his wife but, as soon as he cross the border, he is arrested and imprisoned without knowing why. The film is an open criticism of the Italian judicial and correctional system. Alberto Sordi won the Silver Berlin Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and the David di Donatello for Best Actor.
