The Book of Vision, the film has just ended in Trentino, directed by Carlo Hintermann.

The Italian-Swiss director, after filming in Belgium, has returned to Trentino to complete his latest work.

The Book of Vision ... international cast

A work that brings with it international cast: from the star of "Game of Thrones" Charles Dance to the Dutch actress Lotte Verbeek, from the Swedish actor Sverrir Gudnason; to the Italians Filippo Nigro and Giselda Volodi.

The Book of Vision ... international production

Important and prestigious is the international production of "The Book of Vision" which sees Terrence Malick as an executive producer and illustrious craftsmen at the service of a story suspended between fantasy and mystery. The direction of photography is by Jörg Widmer, already alongside directors such as Wenders, Malick, Tarantino, Haneke, Polanski, Spielberg. The scenography is entrusted to David Crank, while the costumes are by the Neapolitan Mariano Tufano, who after his debut with «Nuovomondo», has signed numerous national and international productions. «The Book of Vision» is produced by Citrullo International with Entre chien et loup (Belgium), Luminous Arts Productions (UK) and with Rai Cinema with the support of MiBACT and in collaboration with the Trentino Film Commission.

The Book of Vision ... Carlo Hintermann

Born in 1974, Carlo Hintermann is director, producer, musician, but also distributor and author of books on cinema. Besides being a contributor to great directors, both American and non-American, starting with Terrence Malick who in "The Book of Vision" is indeed an executive producer.  

Synopsis

Eva, a young and promising doctor, suddenly abandons her brilliant career to study History of Medicine and leave behind her past. In reality what seems like an incomprehensible choice is motivated by a profoundly dramatic condition. In her «escape» Eva meets Henry, the tutor with whom she works on «The Book of Visions», a work by Joahn Anmuth, an 18th century Prussian doctor, which contains the hopes, fears and dreams of more than 1,800 patients. The events of the doctor will indissolubly intertwine with those of Eva, in a play of mirrors between present and past.
