In Genoa started shooting of The Free Prince, biopic on Fabrizio De Andrè

They began in Genoa Tuesday, March 7 shooting of The Free Prince, biopic on Fabrizio De Andrè.

Shooting in Genoa will go on for three weeks. They will interest Boccadasse, the ancient fishing village in the Albaro district, the Spianata Castelletto but also elsewhere in the Old Town, the Caruggi.

Then they will move outside Genoa, in the Ligurian hinterland. Finally, two weeks in Sardinia.

The film traces the artistic and personal history of Fabrizio De Andrè, surely one of the most important and original Italian songwriters.

The title refers to a mention of British pirate Samuel Bellamy, "I am a free prince, and I have as much authority to make war on the whole world as one who has a hundred ships at sea", reported by the singer on the cover of his album The Clouds.

Luca Marinelli, one of the most successful actors in this moment, plays Fabrizio De Andrè.

In recent weeks, they are released two films in which he plays, The father of Italy by Fabio Mollo and Slam - All for a girl by Andrea Molaioli.

Dori Ghezzi, wife of the singer Fabrizio De Andrè, will be played by Valentina Bellè. The young Veronese actress, known by the general public for portraying Lucrezia Tornabuoni in the TV series I Medici, has been engaged in recent months in various films and TV series. The film is directed by Luca Fiacchini and the screenplay is by Francesca Serafini and Giordano Meacci.

The TV broadcast on Rai 1 is provided between the end of this year and early 2018.
