ALL MONEYS OF THE WORLD ... synopsis

Rome, 1973.

At 3 am on July 10, 1973, in Rome, near Piazza Farnese, John Paul Getty III was kidnapped. The request for redemption of the kidnappers, however, is not taken seriously by the family, apart from his mother Gail; in fact the other family believe it is a gimmick of the young rebel to scrape money at the greedy and rich grandfather.

The kidnappers contact some newspapers and they come to cut and send to the editorial staff of Il Messaggero an ear of the sixteen year old John Paul Getty III, with a note where they insisted to be serious.

With the help of an expert, a former CIA agent hired by his grandfather, then begin the real negotiations for the payment of the ransom and release. Some masked men kidnap the sixteen year old John Paul Getty III (played by Charlie Plummer), the nephew of the richest man in the history of the planet, that is Jean Paul Getty (Christopher Plummer).
