The fascinating story of Tirrenia studios told in the exhibition entitled "Tirrenia city of cinema. Pisorno-Cosmopolitan 1934-1969" to be held in Palazzo Blu in Pisa from March 23 to July 3, 2016. The exhibition, curated by Giulia Carluccio, it is organized by the Fondazione Palazzo Blu Pisa in collaboration with the National Museum of Cinema in Turin. The exhibition is divided into sections whose titles retrace the main stages of the design of the studios, before and after their implementation, and the characters who populated them, from actors to directors. Thanks also to the valuable original materials, often little known and surprising, coming from public and private collections and archives of the National Museum of Cinema in Turin, the exhibition also offers a reflection on Italian genre cinema and its transformations and is also discover the trades of the cinema, the "behind the scenes" of technicians and craftsmen, celebrating artists such as, for example, Renato Guttuso, which shows original and unpublished drawings, including those made for "I sequestrati di Altona" by Vittorio De Sica. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 10.00 to 19.00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 20.00. Monday is the closing day. Admission to the exhibition is free.
