The Lucca Film Festival and Europa Cinema returns this year, from 3 to 10 April, in Lucca and Viareggio.
George Romero, William Friedkin, Paolo Sorrentino and Marco Bellocchio: illustrious are the names of Italian and international cinema announced for the new edition of the Lucca Film Festival and Europa Cinema, scheduled from April 3 to 10. To Friedkin in particular, author of cult movies such as The Exorcist and The French Connection, is dedicated a tribute that includes the screening of his best known movies, the delivery of the lifetime achievement award and a masterclass. Also, during his stay in Italy, it will see the creation of a documentary titled "Puccini by Friedkin". In the program of the Lucca Film Festival there are also four exhibitions, between March 26 and May 16: "George Romero and the New American Horror", "Mario. Chiara and Andrea Rapaccini Vierucci for Monicelli. Ghosts "," Marco Bellocchio: the painting behind the lens "," The Wild Look: the Mondo Movies in Italy. Gualtiero Jacopetti".
