The Postman

Inspired by Antonio Skàrmeta's novel "Ardiente paciencia", the film tells a fictional story in which the real poet Pablo Neruda become friend with a simple postman who learns to love poetry. He will use this art to conquer, and marry, his loved one. The film won the Academy Award for Best Score, a BAFTA Award for Best Score, for Best Foreign Film and for Best Director. Also the movie won the David di Donatello for Best Editing and the Silver Ribbon for Best Producer and Best Music.
