The film deals with a sensitive topic and unfortunately present.

Anna, along with her son Valerio, lives in Rome and has to cope with a family situation characterized by ongoing violence of her husband.

Anna manages to find the strength to escape and get away from her husband and from Rome. She is welcomed with her son in Turin home of Carla, a theater actress and friend of Anna by long date.

The two try to adapt to the new life, full of so many difficulties and misunderstandings, but the help of Carla and the unexpected Mathieu, a French restaurateur who lives in the neighborhood, will make them find the strength to start again.

A drama, but also a film of strength and hope.

The personal strength that drives Anna to break with a violent situation. But also that of friendships and social ties that allow Anna and Valerio to think they can reconstruct a possible future.

The film has a cast of all relief. Anna is played by Margherita Buy; Carla by Valeria Golino, Bruno Todeschini is Mathieu, Catherine Shulha the young prostitute Larissa; really pleasant surprise is the interpretation of the young Andrea Pittorino in the shoes of his son Valerio.

The film is produced by Rodeo Drive and Barbary Films in collaboration with Rai Cinema; distribution is entrusted to Teodora Film.

The film is set between Rome and Turin.

The following video is an interview with Margherita Buy, the protagonist of the film, which highlights the new approach of the film to the topic of violence against women, an approach that focuses on the positive possibilities of reconstructing a "life possible"

The director Ivano De Matteo underlines "we did not want to make a film on violence .... It seems ironic ... .. I made a film about violence, but did not want to talk about violence, I wanted to talk about "after the violence" ...... it is a sensitive and tender film"
