Grazia, an ambiguous, depressed and eccentric woman, decides to hide in a cave so that her husband is not able to put her in a mental hospital. The director won the Grand Prix and the Prix de la Toute Jeune Critique at the Cannes Film Festival while the film won the David di Donatello for Best Producer. In addition, Valeria Golino won the Silver Ribbon for Best Actress.
