Montepulciano, Italy. Shooting started for “Medici, masters of Florence”, tv series starring Dustin Hoffman and Richard Madden

The shooting for the American mini-series "Medici, masters of Florence" have started on October 1st, in Montepulciano (SI). Among the various locations there will be also the Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo and the Basilica of San Lorenzo. In the eight episodes of the show will be told the history of the famous Medici Family whom dominated Florence during the XIV century. Famous names form the cast: Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman will represent Giovanni De’ Medici, the patriarch of the family, while Richard Madden, known for his role in Game of Thrones, will be the son Cosimo De’Medici.
